Spine
Preoperative simulation
Osteosynthesis material (implant and plate) treatment and simulation model
The spine is at risk for a variety of diseases, including spinal stenosis, disc herniation, and spinal
compression fractures. In some cases, the spine is impacted during falls or exercise, while in other
cases, gradual compression during daily life can lead to fractures.
If surgery is necessary, it is treated with either decompression, fixation, or correction depending on
the case, and artificial bone such as screws, implants, and plates are used to fix the bone after
surgery.
JMC Lab's preoperative simulator allows us to create a full-scale model of the patient and verify the
fixation of the plate before surgery.
